GPars Logo Competition

Russel Winder-2
2009-11-30 was the deadline for submission of entries in the GPars Logo
Competition -- cf. http://gpars.codehaus.org/Logo+Contest.  The entries
we have can be labelled reading down the page (NB  Jiri Kropacek
submitted 3 designs each with three renderings shown in two different
sizes, so you have to read across as well as down to get the numbering):

        Dierk 1 -- Rotating Stars
        Dierk 2 -- Parallel Stars
        Dierk 3 -- Grass
        Russel 1
        Russel 2
        Russel 3
        Tom 1
        Phillip 1
        Phillip 2
        Phillip 3
        Phillip 4
        Phillip 5
        Phillip 6
        Tim 1
<< Hamlet 1 >> removed from the vote as being unsuitable as a logo.
        Jeff 1
        Jeff 2
        Jeff 3
        Jeff 4
        Guillaume 1
Jiri 1a -- blue on white
Jiri 1b -- grey on white
Jiri 1c -- grey on black
Jiri 2a -- blue on white
Jiri 2b -- grey on white
Jiri 2c -- grey on black
Jiri 3a -- blue on white
Jiri 3b -- grey on white
Jiri 3c -- grey on black
        Tomas 1

for the purpose of voting.

In this first round vote can people reply direct to me with their
preference order.  I propose people leave the order of entries as is
given above and annotate the list with their preference ordering by
prefixing 1, 2, 3, etc. to the entries.  If you want to make a number
equal please use the usual rules so if you have three first equals then
there is no second or third.   If you want only to specify an order for
some of them and leave the rest uncategorized that is fine.

Only people on the GPars Users list may vote (this will be checked :-)

Voting closes 2009-12-12 07:00+00:00.

In the event of any arguments, Václav's decision is final!

Re: GPars Logo Competition

Hamlet D'Arcy
Geez... you guys mention my disqualification every chance you get!

Can I summarize the vote by saying, "There is no clear winner"?

Re: GPars Logo Competition

Tom Nichols
Don't feel bad Hamlet -- if it were up to me, I'd vote your logo +100!
It's creative and unforgettable, if not a little comical :)
Professionalism is over-rated :)
